Winter 2016 - Wedding Reception in Indianapolis
Jeff,
Deciding to hire a band for our wedding was possibly the best decision we made. It took our reception to the next level and First Impression Band was amazing! You were so friendly and accommodating, from helping us with our very last minute request for entrance music to even mic-ing up my dad (the officiant) when we realized that wasn’t included with the venue. The value was unmatched, with you playing the piano during cocktail hour, to the jazz trio at dinner followed by the full band for several hours of dancing. We gave you our requests for first dance, father/daughter and mother/son and the band nailed every song!! After that we didn’t have to provide any song lists which made planning so much easier! It was a weight off not having to come up with a playlist.
From the very first song I knew it was going to be a great night. We were still eating dinner when you started with a cool number that had everyone swaying in their seats and singing along. You were great at reading the crowd and playing the best songs for our audience. Our guest list was a wide range of ages and ethnicities and First Impression Band had EVERYONE dancing the whole time! We received SO many compliments! We couldn't be happier and we owe it all to you!!

Spectacular band!
Jeff kept in communication so well with us in the months before our wedding, and was very accommodating to our wide variety of music styles requested. The band learned quite a few new songs for our wedding and even tried to incorporate a new singer to fit better with some of our songs. They were fabulous and the dance floor was never quiet except when they went on a short break. They played single keyboard during cocktail hour, trio during dinner (& Jeff was MC as well) and then an 8 piece band during dancing. I couldn't have asked for more - we were having such a good time we didn't want to leave!

I had several comments made to me by our guests about how much they enjoyed the band and their performance. I also wanted to thank you for learning the Kenny Chesney song for my dad and I. I know he enjoyed the song and even had some tears at the end. I enjoyed seeing everyone dancing, even older guests that typically do not dance at wedding receptions with only DJs. I just wanted tell you what a wonderful time everyone had Saturday night. The music during cocktails was wonderful as well as the music during dinner. Everyone commented on how wonderful the band was and certainly had a great time dancing. If I am asked, I will definitely recommend your band for events. It was so nice of you all to learn the song for the father and daughter dance. I especially wanted that song for the lyrics, and I don't think any of the mothers in the room had dry eyes while it was sung. Bob got such a kick out of seeing so many women wiping their eyes. So thank you all for playing that old song. Thank your members for us. It was everything we had hoped for. A beautiful room and a wonderful band. We all had a great time.

I just wanted to thank you for playing at our wedding. You guys were amazing!! I'm so glad that I found you guys because you definitely made the reception. Having First Impression there definitely kept people on the dance floor. We got so many compliments on the band and it just made the whole evening so special. As a musician myself, I was worried about getting the right music for the reception, and I definitely didn't have to worry about anything with you guys! You just went with the flow and made it all feel so professional and put together. I really appreciate you going with our timeline, even though it changed as the evening went along. And what a send-off!!! Love Train was the PERFECT way to end the evening. I won't forget that for a long time. The limo driver said we were the first couple he'd ever seen dance out to our limo! We just got proofs of our pictures back and it was so great to see everyone having such a wonderful time dancing. There are some really neat ones of the band too that you might actually want. I can send those along as soon as we get the original files if you'd be interested. Thanks again for EVERYTHING! I will definitely be reccommeding First Impression to anyone I can.

Fall 2009 - Wedding Reception
Talk about a first class professional group of people! Jeff is as easy to work with as anyone that I’ve met and he always has your best intentions in mind. Leave your worries behind because Jeff plays Master of Ceremonies which makes everything transition extremely smoothly. The band learned a new song for our first dance and pulled it off perfectly. The quality of music is second to none. All members are very accomplished musicians meaning they play all styles very well from funk, to blues, to jazz, to rock to big band to ballads and they can adapt accordingly. They are fun, energetic, and know what to play and when to play it to keep the party going and keep the people on the dance floor. Young and old alike were up dancing and if they couldn't dance, they were toe tappin in their chairs. One of those bands that you could just sit back and enjoy. The quality of the band was all people talked about during the reception and for weeks afterwards. Jamie and I can't thank you all enough and please send anyone my way if you are looking for a recommendation.

The band was absolutely fabulous. They were also flexible. My son-in-law is an amateur percussionist, and they welcomed him sitting in. When I forced my daughter onstage to have her picture taken with her new husband on the drumset, the singers grabbed her and she sang half the set with them. It was the hit of the night.

Winter 2008 - Fundraiser - Carter's Crusade
OH MY GOSH! You are fabulous. The First Impression Band offered an amazing performance for our black tie fund-raiser. We feel fortunate to have "stumbled" upon The First Impression Band. Our event had attendance of about 350 guests and I have heard nothing but fantastic reviews from our guests. What a professional, yet fun group of entertainers. I am so pleased with the event in whole, but I feel that the entertainment was the key to a successful and memorable evening. We can not thank you enough for a superb performance. I want to thank you guys for playing at our wedding. I knew you were going to be good from your demo, but you guys were phenomenal. Most of my friends that attended the wedding are musicians, and we couldn't get over how tight you were. The bass player was especially outstanding at times. Typically, my friends and relatives do not dance. You guys made it irresistible to get out there and shake it. We have so many great pictures of our guests dancin' on into the night. Jeff, Just a note to thank you and your band for making John and Kristen's wedding celebration so perfect. It was uncanny, with the few contacts we had made with you beforehand, and yet you seemed to know what we (and the crowd) wanted. It was great to see such enthused responses on the dance floor. The professionalism and talent that was exemplified on every single piece played throughout the reception. I can't say enough about your singers, who were perfect as well. If you ever need a written reference, feel free to call on us at any time. I'm sure, however, you already have plenty. On the evening of and and the days that have since followed, one after another asked, "Where did you find that band?" We hope to catch you sometime in the near future when I am able to just sit down, relax, and enjoy your sounds. Maybe you'll get another wedding up this way that I can crash :). So many people said it was the best wedding they had been to and we know it was due largely to First Impression.
